Festival VENUES
The festival takes place across two carefully selected spaces in Porto, each chosen for its character, atmosphere, and ability to support different parts of the experience. From high-energy social dancing to more intimate and focused sessions, these venues help shape the full journey of the event and create distinct environments for each format.
Both venues are located in the heart of Porto, within easy reach of public transport, restaurants, cafés, and a wide range of accommodation options. Their central location makes it simple to move between events while also allowing participants to fully experience the city, whether during breaks in the schedule or outside festival hours.

Associação Bamu Zunta Mon
Solo Track & Pré-Party
Taking place at Associação Bamu Zunta Mon, an independent cultural association dedicated to music, dance, art, and community-driven initiatives. Known for its intimate and creative atmosphere, the space offers a more alternative and artistic environment, perfectly suited for the Solo Track sessions and the festival Pré-Party experience.
This is also the home of Blues Juke Joint Porto and of the festival organizers themselves, making it our own creative base and community space. As such, it is more than just a venue - it is our home, and having it as part of the festival is a natural extension of the community that has been growing here.
The space is committed to presenting traditional culture and the arts in their most direct and unfiltered form - raw, authentic, and without reinterpretation. Its focus is on Afro-descendant cultures from CPLP countries, as well as Portuguese traditional culture, honouring their roots, voices, and lived expressions as they are, in a space that prioritises cultural integrity and respect.
